OUTREACH PROGRAMS:
- Information and advocacy for families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Training for transliterators (interpreters) to facilitate mainstreaming of students who are deaf or hard of hearing in their local school programs
- Teacher training in the use of Cued Speech and other techniques for improving language acquisition for children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Workshops throughout the Midwest for Parents and educators in the use of Cued Speech Workshop Flyer and Registration Form
- Cued Speech Family and Professional summer camp program Camp Flyer and Restistration Form
- Research and presentations to specialists and professionals at the local and national levels - Speakers’ Bureau for community awaress
- Early intervention programs for parents of children under 3 years of age who have been diagnosed as deaf or hard of hearing
- Consultation to school districts developing Cued Speech programs to improve literacy outcomes
- AEHI supports the model educational program of Alexander Graham Bell Montessori School, which combines Montessori methods with Cued Speech in a program for children ages 3-12 where children who are deaf or hard of hearing are co-educated with children who are hearing
